• The 1.2 -litre Revotron petrol produces 88bhp and 115Nm of torque and comes mated to a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCT)

• 1.2 -litre turbo-petrol: 110 hp, 140 Nm torque, offered only with a manual transmission (potentially reserved for the Altroz racer).

• The 1.5 -litre diesel engine produces 90bhp and 200Nm of torque and comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

• 1.2 -litre iCNG: 74 hp, 103 Nm torque, with 5-speed manual, offers 210-litre boot space with twin-cylinder technology.

In terms of mileage, the petrol and diesel variants offer 19.17 to 23.64 km / l (ARAI-certified) and the CNG variant offers 26.2 km / kg. These engines offer balanced performance for urban and highway driving, although some users have raised concerns over the refinement of the diesel engine and minor blow-by issues.

Eco-Friendly Aspects: CNG and Mileage:

The Tata Altroz facelift promotes eco-friendly options, especially with its iCNG variant. Tata's twin-cylinder technology keeps the CNG tanks under the boot space, giving a useful boot space of 210-litres, which is the best in the segment. The CNG variant returns a mileage of 26.2 km / kg, making it economical and environment-friendly. Also, the in-built air purifier keeps the cabin air clean, which is useful for urban driving.

Safety: The leader in the segment:

The Tata Altroz is known for its strong safety ratings, and the 2025 facelift carries forward this legacy. The previous model had achieved a 5-star rating in the Global NCAP crash test in 2020. The safety features included in the new model are.

• 6 Airbags: Standard across all variants.

360-degree camera: With blind spot monitoring, the driver displays the feed on the display.

Competitive Analysis:

The new Tata Altroz 2025 will rival the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20 and the Toyota Glanza.

Maruti Baleno: The Baleno lacks features like flush door handles, digital driver display, and in-built air purifier. However, it is known for its sales and reliability.

Hyundai i20: The i20 has a sunroof and premium infotainment, but it doesn't offer features like a diesel engine and flush door handles.

Toyota Glanza: The Glanza lacks a sunroof and features are less premium than the Altroz.

Conclusion

The 2025 Tata Altroz facelift is a modern, feature-packed and safe premium hatchback, offering style, technology and eco-friendliness. Its new design, premium interior, and segment-first features make it attractive for buyers. The CNG option and strong safety rating make it an affordable and safe option. With the launch on May 22, 2025, the car will further strengthen Tata's position in the premium hatchback segment.
